Conversion ratios last updated June 15, 2026. Ratios aren't perfectly constant — dividends, stock splits, and changes in index composition shift them over time — so treat results as close approximations, not exact prices.
How the conversion works
/ES and /NQare the E-mini futures on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100. SPY and QQQ are the ETFs that track those indices, and NDXis the Nasdaq-100 index itself. Each instrument is scaled differently — SPY trades at roughly one-tenth of the S&P 500, and QQQ at roughly one-forty-first of the Nasdaq-100 — so converting between them is a single multiply or divide by a ratio. The ratios below also absorb the small futures basis (the premium or discount of the future to spot).
| Pair | Ratio | Formula |
|---|---|---|
| /ES ↔ SPY | 10.1091 | SPY = /ES ÷ ratio |
| /NQ ↔ QQQ | 41.5117 | QQQ = /NQ ÷ ratio |
| NDX ↔ QQQ | 41.0691 | QQQ = NDX ÷ ratio |
